What We Do

Dream

Without a vision, people perish.

One of the major, life altering, moments of I experienced was when I learned that if I didn't dream, give life to my future, I wouldn’t have one. I will teach you how to Dream BIG! - Make Your Dreams your Reality. You can

  • Identify Dreams/Goals

  • Set/Measure/Achieve

  • Create a vision for forward motion

Build

No matter how broke you think you are, you CAN come out ahead, on top, with more than enough:

  • Debt Demolition

  • How to handle money

  • How to save BIG on groceries (no matter how much money you make)

Move

Motivation and Creative movement

That’s right! An Interactive Hip Hop and Urban Dance group session to get you moving in a fun and exciting way.

AND NO, you don’t need to know how to dance. Two Left Feet are totally welcomed.

Through movement we will motivate, create, connect, and inspire!

Youth Development

It is clear that we are all passionate for the layers of challenges we are facing with our youth today and are actively looking for solutions.  After over 20 years of building successful programs in vulnerable communities in this city, I believe I can help.

As you may know, some of the biggest challenges in addressing social and emotional support in these vulnerable communities include both trust, communication, and cultural relevance.  Standard communication tools like email and robocalls don’t typically work with a community that frequently changes addresses and swaps mobile phones several times a year.

Miss Tee has built a successful methodology for helping vulnerable communities better understand and express their feelings in some creative and constructive ways.  We did this with over 5,000 students at 4 school local districts and through partnerships with other youth service providers for impactful and balanced results.  If you’d like to explore options for your district I’d be happy to come in and discuss a number of options with you and your team.

Youth Workforce Development

In addition to giving hope through the arts, our daily work grew to include financial education, life & social skills training, entrepreneurship, and the provision of emergency clothing, and hygiene items for self care.

We train and empower youth to monetize their creative skills using the digital community and social media to book creative jobs and build a resume to book more work. In fact, 63% of our first cohort are earning more income than their parents, most within 5 years of leaving our program.

Our program is designed to break the pattern of poverty within the community by providing opportunities for long-term economic growth. Our students are primarily from Title 1 schools in high poverty areas with a large majority receiving free or reduced lunch. Our staff are reflective of the community we serve with many, former students, committed to passing the legacy of economic empowerment and artistic enrichment they garnered as youth in the program to the next generation facing similar challenges of poverty.

We started by teaching dance in schools, urban housing developments, after school programs, and community centers; what we quickly found was that our students thrived, but they needed more. We serve kids and families who face poverty, hunger, and a systematic lack of opportunity, constantly making impossible choices between things like buying food or paying rent. So, we tasked ourselves with a challenge. In addition to giving hope through dance, our daily work grew to include financial education, life & social skills training, and entrepreneurship. As a result, we’ve seen an explosion in the academic growth and success of our kids and the transformation of entire families.

We’ve seen an explosion in the academic success of our kids and transformation of entire families. Our graduates become professional artists, high school and college graduates, and community leaders helping to develop the next generation of leaders.

Through innovative and culturally relevant programming, we serve over 90,000 youth and nearly 10,000 educators nation wide each year. For over 20 years we have worked to keep California’s most vulnerable young people off the streets by giving them a positive, creative, and social alternative to drugs, teen pregnancy, gang violence, and suicide.

Innovative Arts Coalition

The Innovative Arts Coalition, or “ IAC “ was founded to empower youth through arts, tech and entrepreneurship while simultaneously amplifying social and emotional learning.

We represent a collective of arts and tech organizations who are actively serving youth in California and across the country through free and low cost classes, workshops, and city wide events. IAC represents the cutting edge arts organizations, across multiple subjects. Each of these organizations is able to bring in industry-specific sponsors who are interested in partnering with SXSW-style workshops/seminars and community experiences.

IAC represents Innovative Arts organizations across the Sacramento area, including those in the areas of music, film, dance, gaming, visual and performing arts.

Through each of these organizations, IAC will consulting, program development and daytime and evening arts education in the form of production/entertainment and breakout sessions for both youth and adult community members, encouraging and ensuring community inclusion.

Some of these sessions/seminars/workshops will be subject-specific and some will focus more generally on Creative Economy skill building, such as launching and managing a YouTube channel for artists.

We also bring entertainment to the table in the form of performances, separate and/or part of the workshop programming.

Our partnerships are tailored to serve K-12th grade students, with age appropriate lessons developed to meet the unique needs of each age group and culture. The majority of students we serve are at-risk for academic failure and have limited or no access to arts programs due to income, location, and/or transportation challenges. This is why were are very intentional about aligning with organizations who seek to invest in your youth, the arts new technology education, and access for all.
